Redwing
Turdus iliacus
A distinctive creamy white eye stripe and conspicuous reddish flanks and on the underside of the wings.
Habitat: open country and along hedgerows. In hard winters may come into gardens.
Distribution: throughout the UK. Winter visitor in most of UK, although it is a scarce breeder in northern Scotland.
