Blackbird
Turdus merula
Males have black plumage, a bright yellow beak and eye ring. Females have brown plumage, a mottled breast and a brownish beak. Juveniles are paler and more mottled than females and have a brown beak.
Habitat: found almost everywhere from woodland, hedgerows and scrub to parks and gardens.
Distribution: resident, found throughout the UK.
